About a week ago, I got Kaelum up to level 80. I also have a Death Knight (Grewl) who is level 70. One thing that is absolutely AWESOME is the new Dungeon Finder, which replaced the LFG tool. The LFG tool never did anything good, just like it was a waste for EQ. However, the Dungeon Finder places you in a queue with other players from your battle group (16 different servers) and you do the instance together. A couple group ups were bad, but the majority have been really great. I no longer drop any dungeon quests as I can just add myself to the queue at any time and it will port me to the beginning of the instance once a group is assembled.
You might be asking, "What if some one leaves?" Well, the Dungeon Finder kicks in, it finds a replacement, and it teleports them directly to you. Pretty nifty, ehhh? Besides normal and heroic modes, there is also targetted and random. In targetted, you can specify exactly which dungeon(s) that you want to run, while random will just find a random dungeon for you to enter. Miss a quest for a dungeon that you just finished? Queue it up again. While you're waiting you are back to exactly where you were before you were ported to the dungeon. Don't get caught will ful bags when it calls. You'll want to have plenty of space for drops.
For some reason, Kaelum wasn't being allowed to queue up at first, but then it fixed itself yesterday and I ran about 10 dungeons. YES 10! And I got 4 Purple armor drops, plus 2 Blue upgrades. If you've been away for a while, you may want to try it out. Definitely get the Lich King expansion and try out a DK if you have a character that is level 55 or higher. They are a completely new type of character to play, they wear plate, and they can take on elites 2 levels higher than themselves. You start at level 55 and play in an alternate reality that coexists with the true reality, but neither can see the other. Around level 59 you do a quest that brings you into the true reality where you can play with everyone else.
This new reality system is used all over the place so that only people on a specific quest can see the mobs related to the quest. Everyone else doesn't see anything. It's pretty cool. Reputation (factions) are being used more as well, so be careful on who you talk to, or who you kill. I'm almost Exhaulted with the Oracles (Gorloc race) and will be able to get a nice item from the Quartermaster when I am. If you like, you can change to the other faction at any time and it's not a frigin' PITA like changing between Aldor and Scryers.
If you've been thinking about it, give it a try. I'm sure that you'll be happy that you did.
