AWESOME!

I've been following the game periodically and it has the potential of being even bigger than WoW.  I have some friends that game, but they don't like the D&D genre and would never play WoW.  Some of them had high hopes for SWG, but as with all SOE developed games it fell flat on its face.  Here are some of the items that will make it great:

• 95% of the game is designed for casual players.
• Nothing in the game will only be available to power gamers.  With an equal time investment, casual players will be able to achive the exact same goal.
• The only difference between a max level character and a starting character is the armor and weapons that the player can use.  If a level 60 character plays a level 1 character using only level 1 items, they will be equally matched.
• There will not be any direct PvP in the game at all as CME is the first company to acknowledge that it is impossible to make PvP fair over the Internet.
• Plus a few others...

They have said they they aren't considering console versions of the game, but I hope that they reconsider that choice and support at least the PS3 and perhaps the XBox 360.

Well, they've been sending out beta invites, but it looks like the odds are pretty slim at getting an invite.  I'm a little concerned about the game itself as they are keeping certain things secret until the open beta, which they plan to complete before the end of the year (before Christmas).  Compared to the WoW beta, they have only alotted half of what Blizzard did for WoW.  An we all know that WoW wasn't fully playable until 3 months after release even with the extra 6 months of beta testing.

A friend of mine had been bugging me about getting PAIN for my PS3, so I finally did.  The next time I see him, I'm going the strangle him.  If you haven't seen the game, STAY AWAY!  For those that can't stay away, here is the Official Game Site.
